Linda Vogel, RVT Technician Supervisor |
Linda joined BTVH in 1980 as a kennel attendant. Continuous
education and experience led to her passing the four hour National
Veterinary Technician Exam.
She is most proud of her children and passing the NVTE.
Linda's hobbies include horses, horses, ferrets, and
horses. Her favorite breed of dog is the Doberman Pinscher and
her favorite breed of cat is a Burmese. Ferrets are her
favorite exotic animal.
She especially remembers BTVH client Harry - a senior dachshund
who sadly succumbed to renal failure. Linda always treats her
patients as if they personally belong to her. |

Melissa Palermo with Guinness
|
Melissa has been with BTVH since the Spring of 2005.
She worked the previous 3 years in the veterinary equine
world. While not at the hospital, she enjoys riding and jumping
her horse "Remington Steele" (Remi), a 17 Hand gelding
warmblood.
Melissa's most recent addition to her family is her new German
Shepard named "Guiness". Melissa was an integral part in
trying to rehab one of his littermates who was born after being
stuck in the birth canal. Unfortunately, after 3 weeks of around the
clock care the puppy died. Melissa was given the opportunity to pick
one of the puppies from the litter for her hard work and dedication
thus allowing the memory of the passing puppy to live
on. |

Diane |
Diane came to BTVH in 2002 with previous experience as a
Veterinary Technician in New Jersey, California and Pennsylvania.
Her experience was mostly as a surgical assistant and exam room
assistant. Since joining BTVH, Diane has expanded her knowledge in
laboratory work, patient care and client
education. Diane has worked with animals in one form or
another all her life. She started at the age of 3 when she trained a
Guinea Pig to jump and squeal at the same time. Diane also,
(seriously), trained and showed a few Golden Retrievers and one very
silly Welsh Cardigan Corgi...Guess who had the most ribbons? All of
these dogs were very dear house dogs and enjoyed romping in the yard
chasing sticks every chance they got. In her spare time, Diane
enjoys being out in nature, gardening, spending time with her pets
and riding horses. She has made many friends of both
the fuzzy and non-fuzzy variety and enjoys her work immensely. While
she has her favorites, (who shall remain nameless, as they know who
they are), she treats all of her patients as if they were her own.
In the time that she has worked at BTVH she has received 9
extraordinary bonuses, 8 cats and 1 dog...and has been assured that
more are coming.

Jennifer Doherty with Baby Boy
|
Starting as a young girl
I participated in wildlife rescue, fostering squirrells, rabbits,
possums and wild birds. I grew up around animals. My grandmother was
an animal control officer and was always fostering kittens &
puppies. After working at a few puppy stores I decided I wanted to
dedicate my life to helping sick animals not selling them. To gain
experience, I worked at a spay/neuter clinic where I learned a lot
about ferrel cats. I also worked at Toms River Animal Hospital as a
receptionist. I felt helpless sitting behind a desk when an
emergency would come in and I was eager to learn. Finally, I came to
BTVH in August 2006 and found not only a great learning opportunity
but a place I love to come to every day.
I have a 3.2 pound Toy Fox Terrier named Baby
Boy and a marbled salamander named Moto who I found injured in West
virginia. |

Damian Mazzocchi |
Damian became a veterinary technician in August 2006 as a
start on his journey to becoming a veterinarian. He has worked in a
few animal hospitals before coming to Brick Town Veterinary Hospital
in April 2007. Working at this level is a vital component of being a
well rounded veterinarian. He lives with his "mutant" 14.5 pound
Yorkie at his friends house, who have 11 dogs of their own. Damian
is a versatile employee, not only working seeing patients and
assisting in surgery but he also has been an integral part of taking
BTVH into the 21st centry with paperless computer generated medical
records. When not at work, he enjoys spending time around horses,
enjoying the Jersey Shore with all it has to offer including our
beaches and also finds time to stay active and play
sports. |
