Dr. Santos is a “Jersey Girl” through-and-through and was raised in Monmouth County, New Jersey. She received her Bachelors of Science in Animal Science from Rutgers University (Cook College) in 2014. During this time, she volunteered at Jenkinson’s Aquarium, a California wildlife center (Folsom Zoo Sanctuary), and local veterinary practices which confirmed her dream of practicing veterinary medicine.
Dr. Santos pursued her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in West Lafayette, Indiana. She enjoyed staying involved with student leadership with S.A.V.M.A (Student American Veterinary Medical Association) and had the opportunity to represent Zoetis™, a veterinary pharmaceutical company. A memorable moment was when she traveled to the Galapagos Islands with Darwin Animal Doctors during her third year of veterinary school to provide low-cost care to community cats and dogs. Some of you may have already interacted with Dr. Santos while she was doing her mentorship with us at Brick Town Veterinary Hospital!
Dr. Santos cheerfully marched across the graduation stage on May 2019 and is excited to return to her New Jersey roots to practice. Her interests include physical rehabilitation/pain management, endocrinology, and client communication.
Dr. Santos currently has no animals of her own but knows this won’t last for long! She is thrilled to be joining our team, serving the community and helping your pets out. We are equally happy to have her. Welcome Dr. Santos!
