June 2010
"Deebo" and "Diamond" Berman

Deebo is an American Bull Dog/American Pitbull Terrier mix who just turned 7.  I got him when he was 6 weeks old when a friend rescued him from a backyard breeder.  Since then he has brought so much joy to my life, my daughters’ life, and any one else he meets.  He is full of so much love and laughs.  He’s a big goof ball that loves to make you smile and give lots of kisses.  He enjoys the sprinkler and going for rides in the car.  He enjoys the dog park, even though he’s not good at sharing the tennis balls and we always come home with at least 2 that he has shoved in his mouth.  He is also very proud of any “baby” (teddy bear) that he may be given.  He’s even smart enough to know to bring you his empty food and water bowls.  Deebo is very fatherly and enjoys grooming his sister, Diamond.  Deebo was recently diagnosed with Thyroid disease.  Since then, he has lost weight, his coat is softer, and he has so much more energy, thanks BTVH.

Diamond is an American Pitbull Terrier that we rescued from Burlington County Animal Shelter; she was surrendered the day prior.   When we got her, she was 1 year old and she   is now turning 6.  She was initially skittish, but that did not last long.  She made herself at home very quick and has been a great family member since.  Diamond is like a little girl; she loves getting her nails polished and hanging out with my daughter and her friends.  Diamond, just like a girl, is very vocal; she lets you know when it’s time for dinner, every day, around the same time.  She also lets you know when she wants you to play with her or just to pet her.  Diamond also enjoys taking baths and showers and looking out the window.  In the summer, she enjoys lying in the sun. One year we had a scare, Diamond was sick and unable to eat.  We took her to BTVH and learned she had eaten leaves, 3 lbs of leaves.  Dr. Christman did an amazing job.  We think Diamond thinks Dr. Christman is her boyfriend.

Deebo and Diamond were also very welcoming to our foster dog, Diesel (an American Pitbull Terrier).  They accepted him and gave him lots of love and attention.

They also enjoy sleeping in our beds, getting dressed, and meeting new friends.  The kisses, love, and snuggling is never ending.  And they wanted to let you know that they love their Grandpa and cousin, Dolce (a miniature poodle), so very much.

Our dogs are amazing and we are so thankful to have them in our lives.
